Simple and delicious meal idea!
My homemade taco seasoning takes this meal to the next level. Every member of the family will love this one!
- Difficulty: Easy
- Prep Time: 5-10 minutes
- Cook Time: 20-30 minutes
- Yields: 4-5 servings

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey meat
- 2 cups sushi rice (or white rice)
- ⅔ cup of water
Taco Seasoning
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- ½ tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings (as mush as you like)
- Corn
- Black Beans
- Tomatoes
- Green onions
- Lettuce
- Sharp cheddar cheese for serving
Cooking Tools
- Rice cooker
- Non-stick pan
- Small serving bowls for toppings

Directions
-Start by cooking the rice in the rice cooker before beginning to brown the ground turkey. (This step takes the longest).
-Once the rice is almost done cooking, begin to brown the turkey meat.
-Once the turkey meat is fully cooked, pour in ⅔ cup of water along with cumin, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder and salt/pepper to taste. Simmer on low for 3-5 minutes, then it is ready to serve.
-Serve turkey atop a bed of rice in a bowl or plate, place toppings as desired or place toppings in small serving bowls and allow family members or guests to personalize their taco rice!
Tips
-Do not begin to brown the ground turkey until rice is fully cooked, rice is the longest step in the process and waiting until rice is almost done to begin browning the turkey allows each item to be finished at the same time.
