This is a protein packed, healthy snack that I always keep in the house!

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 50 minutes
  • Yields: 4-5 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • ¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil or  Avocado Oil
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Tonys Creole Seasoning
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper  (or more as desired)

Cooking Tools

  • Baking Pan
  • Strainer
  • Parchment Paper

Directions

-Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

-Pour chickpeas into a strainer and rinse.

-Transfer chickpeas from the strainer into a mixing bowl, add in olive oil, paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, creole, and cayenne pepper and mix well.

-Once chickpeas are fully coated with spices, pour onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper and cook in the oven for 50 minutes, (stirring halfway) or until golden brown and crunchy.

Tips

-If you are unsure about if you want more spice, take out a chickpea once they are half way done and sample, if you would like them to be more spicy, sprinkle extra cayenne powder on top for the remainder of the baking time.

-Make sure to stir chickpeas halfway through the cooking process.

-Store leftover chickpeas in an airtight container in the fridge. You can eat them cold or reheat them in the oven.
